Osmo Vänskä

Born February 28th, 1953 in Sääminki, Finland. A Finnish-born conductor who lives in Minneapolis, USA. He began his career as a clarinetist, and has occasionally returned to his old instrument in recent years. His sons Olli and Perttu are also musicians and composers.
