Stan Kenton And His Orchestra

Stan Kenton and His Orchestra was one of the most innovative, big bands in jazz history. Led by pianist, composer, and arranger Stan Kenton, the orchestra rejected traditional dance rhythms in favour of a massive wall of sound that pioneered the "Progressive Jazz" movement of the 1940s and 1950s.
