Born: July 3, 1940, St. Louis, Missouri, USA Died: December 26, 2012, St. Louis, Missouri, USA American soul singer & pianist, best known for the 1965 R&B hit "Rescue Me" (which she unsuccessfully sought to be recognised as co-writer). She was the wife of jazz trumpeter , daughter of Martha Bass and the sister of David Peaston.
