Pablo Casals

Spanish cellist, composer, and conductor. Born December 29, 1876 in Vendrell, Catalonia. Died October 22, 1973 in San Juan, Puerto Rico (aged 96). Casals is perhaps best remembered for his recordings of the Bach Cello Suites he made from 1936 to 1939.
